Change Heroes exists to make the biggest impact possible in social causes around the world. It’s what gets us up every morning, and the reason we exist as a brand and culture. Change Heroes is a social enterprise. We are for-profit company that uses 100% of our profits to do more social good. That means no bonuses to executives and no inflated salaries. The only reason we exist is to do social good.

We’re doing our part by pioneering a friend-funding movement with a platform that lets anyone easily raise $10,000 with their friends to fund projects in the developing world. We work with amazing charity partners like Free The Children, Room To Read, Somaly Mam Foundation and Pencils of Promise. Over the past year we have helped raised over $1 million to fund over 100 school , library, and anti-sex trafficking projects all around the world.

Responsibilities

• Develop functional web pages, templates & forms from wireframes and/or mockups.
• Deliver quality code that is awesome, cross-browser, and standards-compliant
• Communicate requirements with the designers and the rest of the development team
• Participate in code and design reviews
• Be constantly willing to adapt, change, learn and grow.

Must Haves

• Strong knowledge of cross-browser CSS and JavaScript
• Familiar with best practices for creating high quality and effective and web applications
• Experience with Angular, Backbone or other client side MVC frameworks
• Experience with SASS or LESS as well as CSS3
• Experience with Twitter Bootstrap, Foundation, or other front-end frameworks.
• Passion for empowering people to make big change in the world.

Nice to Haves

• Familiarity with responsive design
• Experience with version control systems (we use GitHub)
• Knowledge of optimizing content for quick page delivery/rendering.
