iOS Developer

Bawtree Software Contracting Ltd in Salmon Arm

We are looking for a highly motivated and talented person to join our iOS development team. A qualified applicant will be familiar with Apple's iOS development SDK, XCode, and have a solid understanding of developing for the mobile platform.

Minimum Requirements 

• 3+ years experience in Objective-C, Java, C++ or other high-level OOP language.
• Minimum 1 year experience developing for a mobile platform, including iOS, Android, or Blackberry.
• Bachelor's degree in software development.
• Curious and eager to learn about mobile technologies.

Key Qualifications 

• Has an app on the App Store or has worked with a team who has.
• Capable of pair programming to learn new systems and diagnose and solve complex problems.
• Working knowledge of source control (Git, Mercurial, Subversion, Perforce or other) and issue tracking systems.
• Familiar with Apple's iOS & Mac operating systems (Linux or UNIX experience is helpful).

Nice to Have's 

• Knows their way around Photoshop and can create basic graphic elements.
• Experience with web standards, including HTML & CSS.
• Familiar with Agile programming and Scrum.

Ideal candidate 

• Smart and humble - always learning from your colleagues!
• Understanding of Object Oriented Design Patterns and how to apply them to Objective-C
• Articulate - capable of distilling complex technical issues into questions that non-technical people can answer.
• A good listener - sometimes this is difficult when you are an expert. Can you do it?
• A good writer - can communicate clearly and effectively with people who have a range of technical expertise.
