Network Administrator/Developer – Contract-to-Hire

Alpine Helicopters Ltd. and Alpine Aerotech Ltd. have an immediate requirement for a full-time Network Administrator with some Applications Development expertise to join our Information Systems Department.

Key responsibilities:

  • Network configuration and management
  • System security, virus protection, and backup strategy
  • Hardware and software, configuration, maintenance and support
  • Provide a share of first level support to users in our office and remote bases
  • Identify recurring issues and take action to prevent them
  • Monitor status of servers and scheduled jobs
  • Assist with the deployment of new systems
  • (Optionally) Assist with maintenance of custom applications

 

 

The ideal candidate will possess the following attributes:

 

  • Computer related degree or certificate
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, IP routing, VPN over WAN, security and virus protection
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and execute tasks in a fast pace environment
  • Analytical and patient with strong customer service skills
  • Valid driver’s license
  • Some .Net development and VMWare experience preferred

 

 

The job requires scheduling flexibility to accommodate some travel.

 

 

Alpine offers a very competitive pay and benefits program. The successful candidate will work on contract for an initial 6 months, with an opportunity to upgrade to a permanent position thereafter.
