Part Time Graphic Design Instructor

The Centre for Arts and Technology is an accredited, higher education institution providing specialized technical training and sought after skills in a rapidly expanding and evolving entertainment arts and media production industry.  Our Kelowna Campus is home to some of the industry’s best instructors and to close to 400 students. We are part of The Education Company (TEC), which runs specialized campuses across Canada.
We are currently looking for candidates with a passion for providing an outstanding educational experience for this part time Instructor position for the Graphic and Digital Media Design program.

Key Responsibilities of the Position:
This is a contract teaching position beginning October 2010.  Bring your passion and experience and join our dynamic team.  Teaching experience is preferred but we do provide support and guidance for you to develop as an instructor.  We are an accredited private post-secondary institute.  For more information about our school, please go to www.digitalartschool.com.

Education and Experience Preferred
The successful candidate will have a commitment to personal and professional growth. He/she will also have exceptional communication skills with a minimum of 2 years industry experience. He/she will have a working knowledge of:
•    HTML, CSS, PHP, SQL, JavaScript, AJAX, XML
•    Adobe Dreamweaver
•    Content Management Systems
•    Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign knowledge would be beneficial
•    Adobe Flash and ActionScript would also be beneficial
