Setting Your Rates by Shane Austin

To survive in the freelance world you need to be prepared and have your wits about you. Faced with a lagging economy and an aggressive marketplace freelancers need the best tools to survive. Shane Austin from Pixel Savvy discusses approaches to two crucial elements to the freelance game: setting billing rates and forming estimates that are responsive to these challenges.

New Venue

The Evening

The evening is starting off with Shane Austin discussing the importance of proper billing rates and estimation.

Following Shane's presentation we're opening the floor to developers, designers, and companies to showcase thier projects and what they've been working on. This is not a sales pitch, this is a time to show other people in the Okanagan what you're talented at. Maybe it's a site design you'd like cretiqued? A web application you're trying to launch? An iPhone app? The floor is yours!
