Obligatory Spring Has Sprung Wrap-up Post

Nerdy friends and colleagues from around the Okanagan crowded The Bike Shop Cafe on the night of April 24th to watch the OKDG's presenters, graphic design maven John van der Woude and prolific photographer Shawn Talbot talk about their passions. We'd be putting it lightly calling it an absolutely stellar evening.

Movember STRIKES Again
November 1st 2011

If you recall OKDG’s successful rendition of the Movember cause at The Many Faces of Movember, not only was it a resounding success for the support of men’s health but an excellent opportunity for Okanagan technology professionals to meet, socialize and learn. This year we hope to repeat that success. The funds raised in Canada support the number one male cancer, prostate cancer. The funds raised are directed to programs run directly by Movember and our men’s health partner, Prostate Cancer Canada. Together, the two channels work together to ensure that Movember funds are supporting a broad range of innovative, world-class programs in line with our strategic goals in the areas of awareness and education, survivorship and research.
